warrants to the original purchaser of each new Kawasaki four-cycle engine that such
product shall be free, under normal use and maintenance, from any defect in
materials and/or workmanship for a period of thirty-six (36) months for units
purchased on or after 1st September 2017. Any unit purchased prior to 1st September
2017 will be covered for a period of twenty-four (24) months after the date of
purchase, subject to the following conditions, exclusions, obligations and
limitations for models FR, FS, FX, FD, FJ.
COVERAGE
Any material and/or workmanship in four–cycle engines found to be defective by
Kawasaki within the thirty-six (36) months for units purchased on or after 1st
September 2017. Any unit purchased prior to 1st September 2017 will be covered for
a period of twenty-four (24) month warranty term for models FR, FS, FX, FD, FJ.
Shall be remedied without charge for parts or labour at any authorised Kawasaki
Engine Dealer located in Australia. A Kawasaki part or accessory sold and installed
by an authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer, which is found defective in material
and/or workmanship, within the three (3) month warranty term, shall be repaired or
replaced (at the option of Kawasaki) without charge for the part or accessory, at
any authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer located in Australia.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The following obligations must be fulfilled by the owner to maintain the validity
of Kawasaki Warranty for Australia. Owner must deliver the four-cycle engine to an
Authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer for inspection, maintenance services and
adjustments as per the Australian periodic maintenance chart. The inspection,
maintenance services and adjustments are to be performed at the owner’s expense.
Owner must present proof of initial retail purchase date to an Authorised Kawasaki
Engine dealer at the time warranty repairs are performed on the four-cycle engine.
LIMITATIONS
This warranty shall not apply to or include any of the following: Repair or
replacement required as a result of accident, misuse or neglect, lack of reasonable
and proper maintenance, repairs improperly performed or replacements improperly
installed, use
of non-genuine Kawasaki replacement parts or accessories, alterations or
modifications not recommended by Kawasaki, wear and deterioration occasioned by the
by the use of the four-cycle engine, the use of stale or incorrect fuel. Routine
maintenance services, adjustments, cleaning and/or expendables such as spark plugs,
lubricants, oil filters, air filters and fuel filters.
LIMITED LIABILITY
The liability of Kawasaki under the thirty-six (36) months for units purchased on
or after 1st September 2017. Any unit purchased prior to 1st September 2017 will be
covered for a period of twenty-four (24) months warranty for models FR, FS, FX, FD,
FJ is limited solely to the remedying of defects in materials and/or workmanship by
an Authorised Kawasaki Engine Dealer at its place of business during customary
business hours. This warranty does not cover inconvenience or loss of use of the
four-cycle engine or transportation of the four-cycle engine to and from the
Kawasaki Dealer.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW (reg.90)
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and
for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss of damage. You are also
entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The text
above applies not withstanding anything else expressed or implied to the contrary
in this Warranty document.
